Promotion Broadcasts

Fill the room
on a Tuesday.

A broadcast is a push notification to the players you choose — your own followers, the ones who favorite what you host, or everyone who plays it. You pick how far it travels, you see the audience and the price before you send, and you only pay for the reach you asked for.

How it works

Four steps, about a minute

  1. Write it

A headline, one concrete offer, and the activity being played.

  2. Choose who hears it

Your followers, players who favorite the activity, or everyone who plays it.

  3. Choose how far

Five miles to nationwide. See the audience and the price before you commit.

  4. Send

It lands as a push notification. Afterwards, compare reach against who turned up.

Who hears it

Three audiences, widest costs most

Each tier contains the one above it. Start with the people who already chose you, and pay to go wider only when the event justifies it.

  1. Your followers Free

Players who followed your venue. They already chose you, so reaching them costs nothing and is not limited by distance — a follower hears from you wherever they are.

  2. Favorites

Your followers, plus players who list the activity you are broadcasting among their favorites. People who have told us this is what they want to play.

  3. Everyone who plays it

All of the above, plus anyone with a rating in that activity — including players who have never heard of you. The widest net, and the one worth paying for when the event can carry it.

How far it goes

Five miles to nationwide

One control, seven stops. Wider is not automatically better — a hundred miles of players who will not travel costs more and turns up less.

Your followers are exempt — following is not geographic, so a broadcast to them reaches every one of them, anywhere, at no cost.

What to send

Worth a broadcast

  • League night

A standing event on the same night every week. The one broadcast most likely to build a habit — and cheap, because your followers are the right audience for it.

    Send it
  • Open tables right now

A same-day nudge when the room is quiet and you have capacity. Short notice is the point, so keep it close to home.

    Send it
  • A tournament

Worth reaching past your regulars — players will travel for prize money. This is what the wider tiers are for.

    Send it
  • Everything, constantly

A broadcast every day trains players to ignore you, and the ones you actually need them to read get lost.
